Visual Storytelling - Selkies

Fantasy, myth or legend? That's the question we were asked. I explored the myth of selkies through my various shoots. I wanted to capture the sadness of the seal who shed her skin and became human and can't go back home to the ocean until she has her skin. The greedy fisherman believes capturing a selkie will make him rich.

PHOTO 2024 Festival - Commercial Outcomes

After creating my images, I put them in the context of the International Festival of Photography based in Victoria. I created various forms of advertising & merchandise, as well as how the images could possibly be exhibited and shown in a photo book.
